Effects of Charge Density of Silicon Type Delay Explosive on the Stability of Combustion
Abstract:This paper studies the effect of charge density on combustion stability of silicon type delay explosive by the technique of high-speed camera. Results show that the small of charge density of delay explosive, which is prone to cause the jumping and irregular combustion phenomena, leads to the instability of combustion; within a certain range, the higher charge density is, the slower burning rate will be, and the more stable combustion will be; the relationship between charge density and burning rate is quadratic curve. Some directive significances can be provided for the development of high-precision delay detonator.
