Experimental Research on the Optimization of Diluents of Low Detonation Velocity Explosives Used in Explosion Welding
Abstract：In order to solve the strong hygroscopicity and the disadvantages for environment of the salt added in expanded ammonium nitrate explosives, the detonation velocity of expanded ammonium nitrate explosives which were added into several kinds of diluent were analyzed and compared by experiments in this paper. The results show that when the addition amount of diluent JM-4 is in the range of 20-25 percent, detonation velocity is about 2345-2523m·s-1,which has better dilution ability, and it can be acted as ideal diluent of low detonation velocity explosives used in explosion welding.
