Abstract:In order to optimize the design of the conveyor belt transfer section and reduce dust pollution,a three-dimensional physic-al model of the conveyor belt transfer section is established based on its prototype. The diffusion process of pulverized coal in the conveyor belt transfer process of the transfer section is studied by using CFD-DPM method, and the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of dust particles in the transfer section and their main influencing factors are revealed. The results show that the dust with small particle size has good followability,is easy to be affected by air flow changes, and serious diffusion;the dust in the area with higher average velocity stays in the section for a shorter time, and the average dust mass concentration is lower;the average dust mass concentration in the transfer section increases with the increase of dust generation rate, and the influence of initial dust velocity is on the contrary;the dust mass concentration at the bottom of the transfer section is high, and the sealing here is particularly import-ant to prevent the diffusion of fine dust to the outside.
