Abstract:In order to explore the deformation and change law of open-pit slope affected by fault fracture zone under excavation dis-turbance,a physical model of open-pit slope excavation was established based on the similarity theory, and physical model simula-tion experiments were carried out under different excavation conditions, considering the influence of formation lithology,fault,ex-cavation and unloading. The results show that the rock mass excavation will lead to the redistribution of rock mass stress, and the near-slope stress changes greatly. The rock mass in the fault tectonic zone shows non-integral movement under the action of excava-tion,and the vertical displacement of the lower wall rock mass is larger than that of the upper wall rock mass, which indicates that the rock mass in this area has a tendency to produce relative dislocation along the fault fracture zone under the action of excavation disturbance and self-gravity of the upper wall rock mass.
