Abstract:;In named data networking(NDN),the caching function makes intermediate routers become potential data provider, and NDN supports consumers fetch data through multiple paths. In this case, the network traffic will become more complex, which will affect the judgment of congestion conditions. In existing work, most congestion control schemes either directly adjust the consumer's sending window or use hop-by-hop congestion control to indirectly adjust the consumer's sending window. However, consumer requests are burst and cannot reflect network conditions in time. The hop-by-hop congestion control also prevents consumers from taking advantage of NDN multipath. The intermediate router can continuously monitor the network status for a long time and actively select paths. To address the problem of multi-path congestion control,a multi-path congestion control method is proposed, which starts from consumer driven and integrates it with multi-path transmission by path learning, probabilistic forwarding, state updates, and congestion regulation.By fully considering the impact of in-network caching and multi-path congestion status on NDN congestion judgment, can use two-level congestion control operations of"route forwarding"and"source driven"according to the changes in path status.Experimental results demonstrate that MP-NDN achieves higher throughput and lower packet loss rates in multi-path scenarios.
