Abstract:The control strategies in the heat pump drying process significantly affect the performance of drying system. To improve the drying performance, various adjustable parameters during the drying process were studied.Multiple experimental sets were conducted to analyze the effects of bypass ratio, drying temperature, air circulation speed, and relative humidity on the closed-loop drying system. The experimental results indicate that there is an optimal bypass ratio. The time to reach 0.2 moisture ratio can be shortened by up to 23%compared to no bypass, and the total specific moisture extraction rate(SMER)of the system is optimal.Drying temperature, air circulation speed, and relative humidity significantly affect both the SMER and the time to reach 0.2 moisture ratio. As the drying process progresses, the adjustment of system parameters helps to enhance system efficiency.
