The Calculation of Cubic Meter of Earthand Stonefor Highway Optimization Design with Computer
Abstract：This paper presents a method of dealing with cross section whichmakes use of the least square method. This method is very important in highway profile optimization design because it could simplify the primitive data and reduce the amount of calculation. The paper also lists four kinds of cross section and their conditions and formulas. Based on the method and algorithm, the author has developed the computer programs in VC＋＋6.0 to calculate the cubic meter of earth and stone. It has been proved that this method is easy and feasible.
