Application of Compacted Graphite Cast Iron for the Braking System of Railway Vehicles
Abstract：The investigation on the service properties of compacted graphitecast iron in the braking system of railway vehicles was performed in the present work,based on analysing the temperature field caused by the friction and wear behaviours of vehicle brake.The results show that the compacted graphite cast iron possesses not only excellent wear-resistance,but the high and stable friction coefficient.At the same time,the authors have discussed the thermal fatigue behaviours in braking components.
