Edge Detection Based on the NURBS Surface Fitting Method
Abstract：This paper proposes a novel algorithm for image edgedetection.Different from Haralick's facet fitting method,this method is based on the NURBS surface fitting and overcomes the limitation of Haralick's method.It can be used to detect edges and filter the noise effectively and robustly.Experimental results obtained on the real world images by using this algorithm present better performances We stress that this approach can be used to other image analysis.
