Study on impact of rainfall infiltration on slope stability
LYU Haohua
Abstract:In order to study the influence of rainfall infiltration on the stability of loess slopes in open-pit coal mines, based on existing geological data, survey results, limit equilibrium theory and numerical simulation research methods, the article carries out stability calculation and analysis of loess slopes under multiple factors.By using Seep/W module to simulate the slope after rainfall infiltration, the article studies the distribution of pore water pressure inside the slope after rainfall infiltration, reveals the deformation and failure law of loess slope. The results show that the overall pore water pressure is highest in the upper loess layer, mainly due to the fact that the loess layer is a water conducting layer. After rainfall infiltration into the slope, the internal porosity is not dense, and surface water gradually flows down through the internal pores. The infiltration line gradually increases, and the overall stability of the upper slope decreases, leading to a decrease in the overall stability of the slope and easy occurrence of overall sliding.
