Research on side slope mining schemes for considering influence of seismic loads in open-pit coal mines
CHEN Defu
Abstract:Based on the current situation that a large amount of coal resources are overburdened by the extremely thick coal seam end slope in Tianchi Energy South Open-pit Mine,it is necessary to conduct side slope mining on the end slopes. The article adopts Morgenstern-Price method analysis, and adjusts the equilibrium relationship and the expression of the safety factor in combination with the seismic inertial force.Through numerical simulation analysis with Geo-Slope and Geo-Quake/W,the article designs three side slope mining schemes, discusses the slope stability under the side slope mining schemes and under seismic loads after side slope mining, and discusses the economic benefits of different schemes. The results show that the south end slope is stable in the current situation, indicating the possibility of side slope mining. The slope stability meets the requirements of the design specifications under both"self-weight"and"self-weight+earthquake"working conditions. The coal recovery amount of scheme 3 is 15 350 tons per year, generating the greatest economic benefits. Therefore, scheme 3 is recommended,in which the 355 m platform is merged and the width of the platforms below 370 m is set to 10 m.
