Abstract:To investigate the slope stability of steep slope mining in the east slope of Anjialing Open-pit Mine, the article adopts FLAC3D to conduct numerical simulations of typical cross-sections,and analyzes displacement, stress, and strain to determine the failure mode. The article uses limit equilibrium method(M-P method)to calculate the stability of two representative cross-sections below the 1045 level under a steep mining scheme with 5 m stepwise reductions in bench width. The results show that the failure mode of the east slope follows an approximately"circular arc"pattern within the rock mass. When the entire area below the 1045 m level advances 35 m eastward, the stability factors for the two typical cross-sections reach 1.051 and 1.05,meeting the required safety reserve coefficient of 1.05.This steep slope mining scheme achieves additional coal recovery of 1,100 tons per meter length with a stripping ratio of approximately 0.97 m3/t,maximizing economic benefits while ensuring safety margins.
