Abstract:In order to address the challenges associated with traditional open-pit mining ecological restoration, such as low biodiversity of plant communities, unstable community structure, landscape simplification, weak ecosystem services, and the potential for invasive alien plant species, this article follows the theory on Nature based-Solutions(NbS),takes Fushun West Open-pit Mine as an example,By conducting site condition surveys, selecting native plants, the article establishes a suitable plant resource library, and combines urban planning zoning to construct near natural plant communities and discusses vegetation restoration methods based on nature solution. The results show that this mining areas vegetation restoration method based on nature solution places greater emphasis on the natural succession and moderate intervention in ecological restoration, significantly enhancing ecosystem services functions, strengthening regional climate resilience, and highlighting the close integration with urban planning and social needs, which achieves synergistic effects between ecological restoration and urban development, promote sustainable development.
