Abstract：The electric locomotive often breaks down in the process of use, which affects the normal operation of motor vehicle. The article summarizes and analyses the common converter faults and causes, and proposes some improved methods of converter, which achieve the normal operation of motor vehicle and the normal production of open-pit mine.
