Research on high and steep slope deformation failure mechanism and stability in open-pit mine

Abstract：Taking high and steep slope at south slope deformation area in Fushun West Open-pit Mine as the engineering background, the article adopts Morgenstern-Price limit equilibrium method combined with finite element numerical simulation software RFPA method to research the deformation failure mechanism and stability problem of high and steep slope. Aiming at the existing problem of south slope deformation area, the author puts forward the reasonable prevention measures of slope deformation control.
