Study on dump slope seepage with fracture and discontinuous deformation couple stability control

Abstract：Taking the open-pit mine dump as an example, adopting the theoretical analysis, experimental study, numerical calculation with engineering design, we identify the engineering geological distribution of the dump , deeply discuss that the action mechanism of seepage on rock deformation mechanics system and water on the stability of sliding mechanics system, and obtain the specific effect of water infiltration and capillary water rising to the slope stability. We also propose the specific measures to ensure the safety of the dump slope, for example the drainage, water-stop control, slope toe replacement and design.
