Abstract:Objective To construct a physical activity management plan for elderly people with mild disability in nursing homes and explore its application effect. Methods Based on literature analysis and expert consultation,a physi‐cal activity management plan for elderly people with mild disability in nursing homes was formed. From December 2024 to February 2025,100 elderly people with mild disability from a certain nursing home in Tangshan City were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group, each with 50 cases, using the ran‐dom number table method. The control group received routine nursing activities along with physical activity education and routine physical activity guidance, while the intervention group implemented the physical activity management plan on the basis of routine nursing activities. Before and after the intervention, the 6-minute walk test, grip strength test,30-second chair stand test,Berg Balance Scale, and Activities of Daily Living Scale were used for assessment. Results The final version of the exercise management plan for mildly disabled elderly people in nursing homes constructed by this study con‐tains 11 modules and 43 items.A total of 97 research subjects completed the study, including 48 in the intervention group and 49 in the control group. After the intervention, the 6-minute walk test distance of the intervention group was(320.04±25.45)m,which was higher than that of the control group[(298.51±21.95)m](P<0.001).The grip strength of the in‐tervention group was(23.26±4.38)kg,which was higher than that of the control group[(20.58±3.62)kg](P=0.001).The 30-second chair stand test of the intervention group was(9.29±1.07)times,which was higher than that of the control group[(8.86±1.04)times](P=0.046).The Berg Balance Scale score of the intervention group was(45.23±1.42)points,which was higher than that of the control group[(42.96±2.32)points](P<0.001).The scores of the intervention group in the physical self-care ability scale, instrumental activities of daily living scale and activities of daily living scale were all lower than those of the control group(all P<0.001).Conclusions The physical activity management plan for el‐derly people with mild disability in nursing homes is scientific and feasible. This plan can effectively improve the physical condition of elderly people with mild disability and enhance their ability to perform activities of daily living.
