Research progress on self-neglect in the elderly

Abstract：Self-neglect can affect the physical and mental health of the elderly,increase the readmission rate and mor-tality rate,and impair the health level of the elderly.This paper reviews the current situation of self-neglect,influencing factors,assessment tools,and intervention measures of self-neglect,aiming to enrich the localized research results of self-neglect,and at the same time provide the basis and direction for the localized interventions of self-neglect in the elderly,with a view to promoting the physical and mental health of the elderly and realizing active aging.
