Abstract:The triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index,recognized as a reliable marker for assessing insulin resistance, has received increasing attention in the field of cardiovascular diseases in recent years.Numerous studies have demonstrated a close association between the TyG index and the occurrence, progression, and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases.More-over,body composition parameters, such as body mass index(BMI)and waist-to-height ratio(WHtR),have also been linked to the development and progression of heart failure. This article aims to explore the clinical implications of an elevat-ed TyG index, particularly in combination with anthropometric indicators(BMI and WHtR),in the onset and adverse prog-nosis of heart failure, with the goal of providing a theoretical basis for clinical practice.
