Abstract:Objective To systematically search, extract, and summarize relevant evidence on non-pharmacological interventions for elderly patients with depression. Methods A computer search was conducted in databases such as JBI,Up To Date,PubMed,and CNKI for guidelines, expert consensus, clinical decisions, best practices, evidence summa-ries,and systematic reviews related to non-pharmacological interventions for elderly depression, with a search time frame from October 2014 to October 2024.The methodological quality of the included literature was assessed by group members, followed by evidence extraction and synthesis. Results A total of 17 studies were included, comprising 5 guidelines,5 expert consensus documents,2 clinical decisions,1 evidence summary, and 4 systematic reviews. The content was sum-marized into 18 pieces of evidence across four areas:psychotherapy(6 items),exercise therapy(3 items),alternative therapies(4 items),and other therapies(5 items). Conclusions This study summarizes non-pharmacological interven-tions for elderly depression. When applying the evidence, nursing staff should assess and intervene based on the patient's individual needs, cultural background, and specific situation to maximize the effectiveness of the interventions.
