Abstract:Objective To explore the latent profiles and influencing factors of elderly people's attitudes towards cog-nitive disorder screening. Methods A total of 207 elderly people in Wuxing District of Huzhou were selected by conve-nience sampling and an on-site questionnaire survey conducted.General information questionnaire,Perceptions Regard-ing Investigational Screening for Memory in Primary Care questionnaire and Modified Alzheimer's Disease Knowledge Scale were used to investigate. The categories of elderly people's cognitive disorder screening attitudes were identified based on latent profile analysis, and the influencing factors of different categories were analyzed by logistic regression. Results There were two types of attitudes:neutral accept-positive perception type(46.7%)and ambivalent accept-ben-efit&pain perception type(53.3%).Logistic regression analysis showed that relatives or friends suffering from cognitive disorder(OR=0.045,95%CI:0.008-0.252,P<0.001),experience of caring for cognitive disorder(OR=20.773,95%CI:2.571-167.821,P=0.004),self-rated health status(OR=2.597,95%CI:1.501-4.495,P=0.001),knowl-edge of disease care(OR=3.549,95%CI:1.415-8.901,P=0.007)and knowledge of disease's impact on caregivers(OR=1.926,95%CI:1.105-3.359,P=0.021)were the factors influencing the latent profile of attitudes towards cogni-tive disorder screening. Conclusions There is heterogeneity in the elderly's attitudes towards screening for cognitive dis-orders,and the acceptance of screening remains to be improved.More than half of the elderly perceive the pain that screen-ing bring. It is necessary to actively use diverse platforms to popularize knowledge regarding the prevention and treatment of cognitive disorders.Simultaneously,it is crucial to enhance professional guidance and support in screening initiatives,giv-ing care to elderly individuals with poor health and cognitive care experience, and guiding them to adopt a positive outlook.
