Visualization analysis of financial toxicity of cancer based on CiteSpace

Abstract：Objective To visually analyze the literature in the field of financial toxicity of cancer based on CiteSpace.Methods The topics and keywords of cancer and financial toxicity in Chinese and English were selected.The time limit was from January 2012 to July 2023.The core collection of Web of Science(WOS)and CNKI database were used as search objects.CiteSpace was used to visualize the knowledge graph of the number trend,organization,keyword clustering,keyword time evolution,keyword emergence,etc.Results A total of 143 literatures in Chinese and 898 lit-eratures in English were included.The number of literatures on economic toxicity of cancer showed an increasing trend.The institution with the largest number of publications and influence in English literature is Harvard University.The top 3 high-frequency keywords were economic toxicity,quality of life,care.A total of 10 clusters were formed,and the first three clusters were financial toxicity,hospitalization cost,and lung cancer.The time graph shows a growing focus on eco-nomically toxic interventions.Keyword emergence analysis showed that the keywords with high intensity were economic burden,breast cancer,cost,colorectal cancer and so on.The institution with the largest number of publications and influ-ence in Chinese literature was Shandong University,and the top 3 high-frequency keywords were influencing factors,can-cer and economic burden.A total of 11 clusters were formed,and the first three clusters included cancer survivors,health disparities,and financial toxicity.The time chart showed that the study of financial toxicity was still in the stage of influ-encing factors.The keyword emergent analysis showed that the key words with high intensity were esophageal cancer,can-cer pain,malignant tumor,etc.Conclusions From 2012 to 2023,the number of Chinese and English studies on finan-cial toxicity of cancer is increasing and the scope is expanding.More and more attention has been paid to financial toxicity of cancer,and the domestic research on financial toxicity of cancer is also increasing,but the research is still at a certain stage of the disease,and the depth of relevant studies is insufficient.It will be an important research direction in the future to explore the financial toxicity intervention of cancer suitable for China's national conditions.
