Abstract:Chronic long-segment iliac artery occlusion represents a relatively rare and particularly severe form of iliac artery disease, often associated with complex anatomical challenges. When symptomatic, these patients are typically candidates for surgical revascularization.[1] However, this subset of patients is frequently elderly and affected by advanced systemic atherosclerosis, multiple comorbidities, and especially severe coronary artery disease,[2] all of which significantly increase operative risk and associated mortality.
