Analysis and study on complications of B-ultrasound guided liver biopsy in cynomolgus monkeys

Abstract:This article aims to analyze and investigate how to avoid complications in B-ultrasound-guided liver tissue biopsy in cynomolgus monkeys.It summarizes the preoperative,intraoperative,and postoperative procedures for 1 103 cynomolgus monkeys that underwent this surgery and analyzes the occurrence of postoperative complications.The results show that the complication rate after liver tissue biopsy in cynomolgus monkeys was 13.4%,and all complications resolved with appropriate treatment and care.The study indicates that preoperative analgesia is not only crucial for animal welfare but also a necessary condition for surgical success;the technical skills of the operators and the health assessment of the animals are the foundation and prerequisites for surgical success;intraoperative monitoring and postoperative care are important measures to reduce the risks associated with liver tissue biopsy in cynomolgus monkeys.
