Research progress on the application of dual fluorescence PCR for porcine circovirus types 2 and 3

Abstract：Porcine circovirus(PCV)is a significant pathogen that severely jeopardizes the global swine industry.Among its types,porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2)and porcine circovirus type 3(PCV3)have become the focus of current research due to their highly similar clinical features and frequent co-infections.This article reviews the latest research progress in the dual fluorescent PCR detection technology for PCV2 and PCV3.It summarizes the advantages of dual fluorescent PCR in improving detection efficiency,reducing costs,and achieving accurate differential diagnosis.The practical application value of this technology in epidemiological investigations,vaccine efficacy evaluation,and the diagnosis of co-infections is discussed.Furthermore,future development directions are proposed to provide a reference for the prevention and control of porcine circovirus diseases.
