Research progress on canine bacterial corneal ulcer

Abstract:Canine corneal ulcer is a common and serious ophthalmic disease that widely affects the visual health of dogs.Its causes are complex and diverse,mainly including bacterial infection,mechanical injury and immune-related factors,etc.This article reviews the epidemiological characteristics,main pathogenic bacteria and their drug resistance changes,pathological mechanisms,and clinical diagnostic methods of canine corneal ulcers.It also compares traditional and emerging treatment strategies and explores future research directions,with the aim of providing references for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of canine corneal ulcers,promoting the standardized management of this disease,and improving the therapeutic effect.
