Abstract:Spotted fever is a rickettsial disease caused by spotted fever group rickettsiae(SFGR),primarily transmitted through tick bites. In recent years, with the significant increase in tourism and trade activities in Xinjiang, the distribution of SFGR natural foci has continuously expanded, accompanied by growing diversity in vector tick species and animal hosts. This review summarizes the major tick species carrying SFGR,pathogen distribution patterns,as well as diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for spotted fever in Xinjiang. The findings provide a scientific basis for developing effective integrated control strategies against tick-borne spotted fever, thereby strengthening public health security in the region.
