Abstract:African swine fever(ASF),caused by the African swine fever virus(ASFV),is a highly acute and virulent infectious disease affecting swine populations.ASFV is an enveloped double-stranded DNA virus characterized by genetic diversity, complex immune evasion mechanisms, and no reliable vaccine currently available for immunization.Since its introduction to China in 2018,ASF has inflicted substantial economic losses and societal impacts on the swine industry. In recent years, significant advancements have been achieved in diagnostic technologies, vaccine development, and pharmaceutical interventions for ASF control. This article systematically reviews current research progress in ASF diagnostics, vaccines,Chinese and Western medicines, and biosecurity measures, aiming to provide references for ASF prevention and research in China.
