Abstract:This study evaluated the fermentation quality of whole-plant corn silage in Henan Province using near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy(NIRS)to analyze nutritional components and small-molecule organic acid content in 1 138 silage batches collected from provincial dairy farms(2020 to 2024).The results show that from 2020 to 2024,the average pH values of whole-plant corn silage in Henan Province were 3.82,3.82,3.83,3.80 and 3.77 respectively, the lactic acid contents were 4.61%DM,4.32%DM,4.80%DM,4.72%DM,and 4.88%DM respectively. The acetic acid contents were 3.56%,3.30%,3.36%,3.00%,and 3.27%respectively,the propionic acid contents were 0.25%,0.39%,0.46%,0.40%,and 0.49%respectively.The butyric acid contents were 0.47%,0.23%,0.23%0.28%,and 0.20%respectively.Research shows that from 2020 to 2024,the nutritional component quality of whole-plant corn silage in Henan Province remained stable, and the overall fermentation quality was also stable.
