Analysis of immune antibody monitoring results of sheep peste des petits ruminants in Changning City,Hunan Province from 2022 to 2024

Abstract：The study aims to evaluate the immunization effectiveness of peste des petits ruminants(PPR)in sheep in Changning City,further improve the prevention and control of PPR in sheep,and statistically analyze the immune antibody monitoring results of PPR in sheep in Changning City from 2022 to 2024.The results showed that the overall qualified rate of PPR antibody samples of sheep in Changning City from 2022 to 2024 was 86.87%(1 905/2 193),and the overall qualified rate of breeding farms was 84.62%(99/117),and it has been steadily increasing year by year.The qualified rate of PPR antibody samples from sheep in large-scale farms was 90.66%(1 252/1 381),and the qualified rate of the farms was 88.16%(67/76).The qualified rate of PPR antibody samples from free-range sheep farmers was 80.42%(653/812),and the qualified rate of households was 78.05%(32/41).The qualified rate of PPR antibody samples from sheep in spring was 84.48%(882/1 044),and the qualified rate in the field was 80.00%(44/55).The qualified rate of PPR antibody samples from sheep in autumn was 89.03%(1 023/1 149),and the qualified rate of households was 88.71%(55/62).The individual qualified rate of PPR immune antibodies in RAMS was 89.10%(1 439/1 615),and that in ewes was 80.62%(466/578).The qualified rate of PPR immune antibodies in sheep from different towns was the highest at 96.65%and the lowest at 76.26%.The qualified rates of PPR immune antibodies in samples from large-scale farms and in farms were both higher than those in free-range farms(P<0.05).The qualified rates of PPR immune antibodies in autumn samples and in farms(households)were both higher than those in spring(P<0.05).The qualified rates of PPR immune antibodies in male sheep samples were both higher than those in ewes(P<0.05).The study confirms that Changning City's PPR antibody qualification rates(2022 to 2024)exceeded the≥70%standard mandated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs,demonstrating high and progressively improving antibody levels with successful vaccination outcomes.
