Abstract:Brucellosis is a relatively common multi-host animal infectious disease worldwide.Sheep brucellosis is caused by the infection of Brucella in sheep species.It is characterized by zoonosis and diverse transmission routes.Affected sheep may experience miscarriage,stillbirth,placental retention and other symptoms,and may also be accompanied by arthritis,mastitis and other diseases,seriously threatening the development of the national sheep industry and human public safety and health.Therefore,for sheep farmers,timely detection,diagnosis and prevention and control of brucellosis in sheep are of vital importance.This article reviews the epidemic situation,clinical symptoms,detection methods and preventive measures of brucellosis in sheep,and conducts a detailed analysis of the technical principles,advantages and disadvantages of the etiological methods,immunological methods and molecular biological methods used in the detection,aiming to provide certain references for the subsequent prevention and control work of brucellosis in sheep.
