Abstract:Chronic kidney disease(CKD)is a common and highly fatal condition in senior cats.A senior tabby cat presented with retching was diagnosed with stage 4 CKD through physical examination, laboratory tests, and imaging studies.A comprehensive therapeutic approach involving pharmacological interventions and dietary management was implemented to mitigate disease progression.Following initial treatment, the cat exhibited significant symptomatic improvement, with stable mental status, appetite, and activity levels observed during subsequent follow-ups.The survival time of this cat far exceeded the median survival time reported for CKD cases. This case report details the diagnostic and therapeutic management strategies for CKD,aiming to provide insights for clinical practice and future research.
