Application and prospect of heterotrophic nitrifying aerobic denitrifying bacteria in the treatment of pig farm breeding wastewater

Abstract:Pig farm breeding wastewater is characterized by high biochemical oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, suspended solids and rich nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients.Improper treatment can seriously harm the environment.Among them, improper discharge of nitrogen is prone to causing non-point source pollution and damaging the ecological environment.Biological denitrification is the mainstream technology for treating nitrogen-containing wastewater.Traditionally, biological denitrification converts nitrogen compounds into nitrogen gas through autotrophic nitrification and anaerobic denitrification.Compared with traditional biological denitrification, heterotrophic nitrifying aerobic denitrification(HN-AD)bacteria can simultaneously complete heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification reactions, and have higher application potential in wastewater treatment.Based on the analysis of traditional nitrogen removal methods, this article elaborates on the nitrogen removal pathways of heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification, summarizes the current types of HN-AD bacteria, and discusses the main factors affecting nitrogen removal by HN-AD bacteria as well as the research progress and prospects in the wastewater treatment of pig farms.
