Research progress on effects of bovine gastrointestinal microbial diversity on host nutrient metabolism
Qiu Yulin
Abstract:There are numerous and diverse microbial communities colonized in the gastrointestinal tract of cattle. This article summarizes the functional characteristics of rumen and intestinal microbiota in cattle, discusses the effects of factors such as age, gender, breed, feed and environment on the diversity of gastrointestinal microbiota in cattle, analyzes the influence of gastrointestinal microbiota on cattle nutritional metabolism and the approaches or methods to maintain the diversity of gastrointestinal microbiota in cattle,In order to provide a reference for further studying the complex relationship between the gastrointestinal microbiota of cattle and the host metabolic network,as well as for the development of adaptive feeding strategies.
