Research progress on the diagnosis,prevention,and treatment of caprine contagious pleuropneumonia

Abstract:Caprine contagious pleuropneumonia(CCPP)is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by Mycoplasma capricolum subsp.Capripneumoniae(Mccp),posing severe threats to goat farming industries.The primary clinical manifestations of CCPP include severe respiratory symptoms such as coughing,dyspnea,pleuritis,and pulmonary consolidation,with high mortality rates.This article summarizes diagnostic methods and clinical treatment protocols for CCPP,discusses advancements in vaccine development,and emphasizes that rational selection and integrated application of prevention and control strategies can effectively curb disease transmission,enhance treatment success rates,and provide references for the sustainable development of goat farming.
