Abstract:Feline calicivirus(FCV)is one of the leading causes of feline upper respiratory tract disease(URTD),and its continuous detoxified in infected individuals has serious implications for feline health.Cats infected with FCV usually show no clinical signs or mild upper respiratory disease with oral ulcers.Infection with highly pathogenic strains of FCV(VS-FCV)can lead to lethal systemic disease. At present, the prevention and control of FCV mainly relies on vaccination, but the existing vaccine types in China are mainly inactivated vaccines, resulting in a single method of prevention and control with unsatisfactory results. The article introduces the pathogenic characteristics, epidemiological features, clinical symptoms and pathological changes,as well as diagnosis and treatment methods of FCV,with a view to providing reference for the prevention and control of the disease.
