Abstract:A referral case involving a cat presenting with sudden-onset paralysis and dyspnea was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM)complicated by aortic thromboembolism-induced hindlimb paralysis through clinical, laboratory, and imaging examinations. The cat arrived approximately 10 hours post-embolism.In accordance with the owner's wishes, the patient underwent computed tomography for precise thrombus localization and surgical thrombectomy under anesthesia.Postoperative recovery was stable, with no significant anesthetic complications observed. This report discusses the hemodynamic alterations in HCM,anesthetic management, and the implications of surgical thrombectomy in feline patients.
