Research progress in epidemiology,diagnosis and control of canine babesiosis

Abstract：Canine babesiosis is a significant tick-borne disease caused by various Babesia species,distributed globally.However,differences exist in the geographic distribution,transmission routes,clinical manifestations,treatment,and prognosis among different Babesia species.This article reviews recent research progress on the pathogen diversity,epidemiology,pathogenic mechanisms,diagnosis,and prevention of canine babesiosis,aiming to provide practical recommendations and guidelines for veterinary practitioners in China regarding its diagnosis,treatment,and prevention.
