Abstract:This study aimed to evaluate the deworming efficacy of common anticoccidial drugs against coccidiosis in Shaanbei White cashmere goats.Forty-five goats clinically diagnosed with coccidiosis from a local farm were randomly divided into three groups(15 goats per group). Each group was treated with one of three commercially available anticoccidial drugs:Diclazuril group,Qiubijing group(sulfachloropyrazine sodium soluble powder),and Lihao group(compound sulfamonomethoxine sodium soluble powder).Fecal samples were collected before treatment and one week post-treatment to count oocysts via microscopy, and infection intensity, oocyst negative conversion rate, and oocyst reduction rate were calculated to assess efficacy. The results showed that the Shaanbei White cashmere goats in Diclazuril group achieved oocyst negative conversion and reduction rates of 26.67%and 74.23%,respectively,with an extremely significant decrease in infection intensity(P<0.01).The Shaanbei White cashmere goats in Qiubijing group exhibited rates of 13.33%and 55.09%,respectively,with a significant decrease in infection intensity(P<0.05).The Shaanbei White cashmere goats in Lihao group demonstrated the highest efficacy, with rates of 80%and 79.67%,respectively,and an extremely significant decrease in infection intensity(P<0.01).The study concluded that Lihao showed the most prominent deworming effect, followed by diclazuril, while Qiubijing performed poorly.Lihao is recommended as the preferred anticoccidial drug for Shaanbei White cashmere goats.
