Abstract:This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of avian pathogenic Escherichia coli(APEC)in Liaoning Province and provide guidance for the prevention and control of avian colibacillosis.A total of 106 APEC strains were collected from a large-scale poultry farm in Liaoning.PCR was used to detect nine virulence genes, eight serotypes, and eight antimicrobial resistance genes. The results showed that the dominant serotypes were O1(33.96%,36/106)and O78(19.81%,21/106).Key virulence genes included ibeB(detection rate 96.23%,102/106),FimH(86.79%,92/106),FimC(83.96%,89/106),and Yij P(69.81%,74/106).Antimicrobial resistance genes gyrA,tetA,blaTEM,blaCTX-M,aac,and sul1 exhibited detection rates exceeding 57%.The findings indicate that APEC strains in Liaoning exhibit diverse serotypes and carry multiple virulence and resistance genes. These results provide critical insights for the prevention and treatment of avian colibacillosis in this region.
