Abstract:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of solid state fermentation on the nutritional composition of pig feed and the application of fermented feed in piglet breeding. The changes of nutrient composition of corn, soybean meal and wheat bran mixed feed before and after fermentation were analyzed by using complex microbial strains.A total of 120 healthy three-way hybrid piglets were randomly divided into the control group and test group with six replicates per group and 10 piglets per replicate.Piglets in the control group were fed the basal diet, and those in the test group were fed the basal diet supplemented with 5%fermentation product. The experiment lasted for 42 days. The results showed that the contents of crude protein, lysine, methionine and lactic acid of fermented feed were significantly increased(P<0.05),while the contents of crude fiber and phytic acid were significantly decreased(P<0.05).The average daily gain of piglets in the test group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),the feed to gain ratio and diarrhea rate of piglets in the test group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The apparent digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, lysine and methionine of the test group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the relative abundances of Firmicutes,Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria in the intestinal tract of piglets in the test group were significantly increased(P<0.05),while the relative abundances of Bacteroidetes were significantly decreased(P<0.05).The results show that solid state fermentation can improve the nutritional value of pig feed, and the growth performance and nutrient utilization of piglets can be improved by using fermented feed.
