Abstract：There are a variety of substances in livestock manure that are not used in the animal body,which can threaten the health of humans and animals,and cause certain harm to the environment,such as air,water and soil.Microbial enhanced compost by adding specific microbial strains,can accelerate the decomposition process of organic waste,improve the efficiency and quality of compost.The advantage is that organic matter can be converted into stable humus more quickly,while reducing odors and greenhouse gas emissions from the composting process.In addition,microbial enhanced compost can effectively inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria and improve the safety of compost products.In this paper,the composting treatment of livestock and poultry manure and the combined application of microorganisms and compost were reviewed,in order to provide reference for the research on microbial composting of livestock and poultry manure.
