Diagnosis and treatment of intestinal foreign body complicated with pancreatitis in dogs

Abstract:Intestinal foreign body and pancreatitis in dogs are common digestive diseases in veterinary clinic.The incidence of this disease has doubled with the increase of the number of pets.A 2-year-old dog with unexplained vomiting and refusal to eat was diagnosed with pancreatitis.Due to lack of improvement after treatment,it was transferred to our hospital.After the treatment effect of pancreatitis was not significant,further clinical and general examination,blood routine examination,blood biochemistry and blood gas examination,B-ultrasound and X-ray imaging examination confirmed that the dog was intestinal foreign body complicated with pancreatitis.Enterotomy was performed to remove intestinal foreign bodies,and postoperative and pancreatitis management was performed.The dog was discharged five days after surgery and recovered well.This article describes the whole process of diagnosis and treatment of this case,and carries on in-depth analysis and discussion,in order to provide reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of related diseases.
