Abstract：Under the background of the promulgation and implementation of the ban,the selection of appropriate alternative additives has become a hot research direction in aquatic research.Astragalus and its polysaccharide can improve the growth potential,disease resistance and antioxidant level of aquatic animals,enhance the immune capacity of aquatic animals,and improve the intestinal flora structure of aquatic animals by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria,so it has a good application prospect as an anti-additive in aquatic feed.This paper reviewed the effects of Astragalus and its polysaccharides on the growth,disease resistance and immunity of fish,shrimp and crabs and other aquaculture animals,pointed out the existing problems in the application of Astragalus and its polysaccharides in aquaculture and made prospects based on the existing research progress,in order to provide references for the application of Astragalus and its polysaccharides in aquaculture.
