Abstract:This paper conducted a meta-analysis of existing literature to explore the effects of Chinese herbal feed additives on the growth performance of piglets.By searching CNKI,Wanfang,PubMed and other databases,a total of 620 relevant literatures from the establishment of the database to January 2024 were retrieved.A total of 15 literatures were included in the study according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and heterogeneity analysis and sensitivity analysis were performed. The results showed as follows:the effects of Chinese herbal feed additives on average daily gain of piglets were extremely significant(P<0.01),standard mean difference(SMD)=2.85,95%CI(1.48,4.22).The average daily feed intake of piglets was not significantly affected(P>0.05),SMD=0.16,95%CI(-0.72,1.05).The ratio of feed to gain of piglets was significantly affected(P<0.05),SMD=-0.83,95%CI(-1.56,-0.11).The sensitivity analysis excluded the included studies one by one,and the heterogeneity test I2 value was still greater than 50%,indicating high heterogeneity among studies. The results showed that Chinese herbal feed additives had significant effects on increasing the average daily gain and decreasing the feed to gain ratio of piglets, and the results could provide reference for the application of Chinese herbal feed additives in piglets in the future.
