Abstract:A 6-year-old Samoyed with dystocia and stillbirth came to the hospital due to symptoms of oliguria after 1 week of treatment and still had no appetite. In order to make accurate diagnosis and treatment of the disease, blood was collected for blood routine, blood biochemistry, blood gas analysis, dog pancreatitis test paper, and imaging examination. The results of blood routine examination showed that the number of white blood cells and neutrophils was significantly higher than the reference range, suggesting the existence of inflammatory response in vivo.Blood biochemical examination results showed that urea, creatinine, alkaline phosphatase and other indicators increased, combined with B-ultrasound examination results suspected liver and kidney problems. The results of blood gas analysis showed that electrolyte disorder occurred and metabolic acidosis occurred.Canine pancreatitis test results were abnormal, and it was highly suspected that the dog had pancreatitis.Based on the above examination results, the dog was determined to be postpartum sepsis, and the dog was finally cured by taking infusion to reduce inflammation, regulate electrolyte balance and promote the recovery of liver, kidney and pancreas function.
