Research progress on bile acids in aquaculture

Abstract：As one of the final products of cholesterol metabolism,bile acids are important components of bile and can promote the absorption of cholesterol,lipids,and fat-soluble vitamins in the animal intestine.The article summarizes the effects of supplementing feed with bile acids on the growth performance,antioxidant capacity,immunity,lipid metabolism,and liver-gut health of aquatic animals,with the aim of providing a reference for the research and application of bile acids as additives in aquaculture feed in the field of aquaculture.
