Diagnosis and treatment of postoperative infection in a case of canine perineal hernia

Abstract：With the increasing proportion of surgical operations in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of pet diseases,issues such as postoperative infections in pets have also increased.Postoperative care is directly related to the success of the surgery.This article records the diagnosis and treatment process of a canine perineal hernia postoperative infection case.The dog was confirmed to have a severe postoperative wound infection and anemia through clinical examination,complete blood count,and blood biochemistry examination.Subsequent treatment with antimicrobial anti-inflammatory therapy and debridement led to a good recovery of the dog's wound condition and mental state.
