Abstract:This experiment was designed to determine the prevalence of avian leukaemia and its effect on reproductive performance, and to lay the foundation of healthy provenance for the conservation and breeding of Guangyuan grey chicken. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect the antigen of avian leukemia in T1 line(762),T2 line(522)and T3 line(1 028),and the reproductive performance of Guangyuan grey chicken between negative and positive lines was relatively analyzed. The results showed that the positive rate was T3 line(30.25%)>T1 line(26.64%)>T2 line(23.75%),and the average positive rate of lines was 26.88%.Compared with Guangyuan grey chickens without ALV infection, the first egg age of Guangyuan grey chickens with ALV-positive T1 line was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the average egg weight at 300 days of age and 300 days of age were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Egg production and average egg weight at 300 days of age at T2 line were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and egg production at 300 days of age at T3 ine was significantly decreased(P<0.05).Among ALV-negative lines, the first egg age,300-day weight and 300-day average egg weight of T1 line were significantly higher than those of T3 and T2 lines(P<0.05).The average egg weight of T31ine at 300 days of age was significantly higher than that of T2 line among ALV-positive(P<0.05).The results showed that AL was prevalent in the female populations of various strains of Guangyuan grey chickens and could significantly reduce the reproductive performance of some of them.AL detection and purification work should be carried out regularly in the later stage.
