Abstract：Peste petit ruminant is an acute infectious disease caused by the Peste petit ruminant virus,with a high case fatality rate of more than 90％,which poses a threat to global animal health and public health security.The World Organization for Animal Health defines it as a reportable animal epidemic disease,and China classifies it as a class of infectious diseases.The article introduces the etiology,epidemiological characteristics and clinical symptoms of Peste petit ruminant,and summarizes the commonly used clinical diagnosis and control methods in recent years,in order to provide a reference for the clinical diagnosis and control of Peste petit ruminant.
